Chris has climbed through the ranks from Merchandiser, to Sales Representative, to Key Account Manager, to District Manager Houston, to Texas State Sales Manager, to finally Chief Sales Officer. Having worked at every level within the sales structure of the organization, he has been able to truly get a picture of the business and the industry from the grass roots all the way to the top levels. Also, growing up his formative years in Mexico City, Chris is fully fluent in Spanish and the Mexican culture which also gives him an international perspective of the business which works well with a company who has a strong presence with Hispanic and international brands. Mr. Kliever joined Mexcor in 2018 as Chief Financial Officer. He brings over 25 years of broadline foodservice, supply chain and wholesale distribution experience to compliment the Mexcor family of businesses. Scott graduated from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a minor in Accounting. He further continued his education with a MBA in Accounting from Lindenwood University. Scott began his career working at his family owned customized distribution and freight brokerage business. Here he learned from the ground floor the operations and administration side of a successful million square foot distribution facility. He was very instrumental in starting up a new customized repacking process and delivering value added services to national customers. Scott then started his 20-year career at Sysco. He teamed up to start up one of Sysco’s first fold out facilities, helped organize relocation to a state of the art distribution center and was the first implementation of hydrogen fuel cells and mini load rack systems. Scott helped bring technology, efficiencies and operational accountability change to the private equity Merchants organization. A path to continue delivering excellent service and outstanding customer experience.

’With is Bachelor’s in Electrical/Digital Engineering, a minor in Mathematics, a minor in Computer Science from UH, he is sometimes considered a tech nerd as it seems he had zero social life in college. But after a 4-year stint at Royal Dutch Shell, and a RICE MBA, Santosh managed to balance his nerdiness with some practical, real world experience by alleviating the demands placed on mothers worldwide.

As International Brand Manager for Pampers, a Procter & Gamble Brand, he brought relief to millions of moms by introducing them to Pampers Diapers. Santosh played a key role in keeping millions of babies drier and happier. Santosh has had many adventures since P&G.

Mr. Morgan began with Mexcor as an entry level Sales Representative, during which time, he consistently exceeded the expectations of his peers and supervisors. Shortly after, Mr. Morgan was promoted to South Texas District Sales Manager where he coached and developed Sales Executives to Sales Managers, teaching them to develop a strong and cohesive team. His attention to detail and pursuit of perfection propelled Dave Morgan from an entry level Sales Executive, to South Texas District Manager, to his current position of General Manager of Texas. Mr. Morgan has his Bachelors of Arts from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

For Mr. Alexander, business is about family, and family is about business. Mr. Alexander was mentored by an entrepreneurial father, John Alexander, who escaped Cuba and threw himself into building several Miami distribution businesses. In the process, John Alexander and his wife Ana Maria inspired a strong work ethic in Nicholas. That ethic drove many of Nicholas’ accomplishments, including a golf scholarship to Spring Hill College in Alabama. After two years, Miami and family drew him back to South Florida. He completed his business degree at FIU with cum laude honors and worked in an accounting firm while attending classes. A return to the family business followed. He then launched a Cigarette distribution company with his Father, and drove the business to upwards of 2 million in monthly revenue in the state of Florida. He later moved on to launch his family wine and spirits import and distribution company in Miami. Since February 2016 Mr. Alexander has been Director of Operations/Sales at Mexcor Distributors of Florida.

Joe is a 40 year veteran in the Liquor Industry. He joins Mexcor as Director of Business Development.
He comes to us after serving as Vice President of Mango Bottling. He has worked with many large Liquor Companies such as Proximo, Cruzan and Seagram’s in creating their 50ml products and getting them produced. Joe has a broad range of experience in Liquor Brand Creation, Marketing, Manufacturing, Distribution, Training and Sales. Joe will have a “hands-on” role in building up brands, opening new states, developing Sales programs, introducing new Marketing Ideas, training the Mexcor Sales Force and visiting many of our key Retailers. Joe’s enthusiasm and experience will help Mexcor achieve our goals.

Dixon Grayless joined Mexcor in 2021 as Chief Information Officer. He is responsible for the company’s information systems ecosystem, innovation strategy, business intelligence, and analytics. Dixon brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across Finance and Information Technology in supply chain and wholesale distribution from serving at Sysco Corporation, Core-Mark International, and The Grocers Supply Company where he built a track record of helping lead organizations to the next level of business intelligence and operational excellence through technology.
Dixon joined Mexcor from Big 4 consulting leader Ernst & Young, where he offered his extensive industry background in leading technology transformations to help Fortune 500 clients create long-term value for their organizations through technology-enabled initiatives and enterprise-wide business transformations. Ross Majewski joined in December of 2020 as the SVP of National and Strategic Accounts responsible for setting a long-term strategy and executing annual plans with Mexcor’s largest customers.
He is a seasoned commercial leader with 20 years of cross-functional experience in national accounts, field sales, brand management, trade marketing, and sales operations roles with industry-leading companies. He holds both a BA and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
Most recently, Mr. Majewski led the National Accounts Off-Premise Division of Sazerac, the largest distiller in North America, where he was responsible for delivering 20% of the company’s US sales by partnering with grocery, club, mass, drug, liquor, and convenience store retailers. During his tenure, he grew the private label portfolio into the dominant industry leader in addition to leveraging over 350 national brands.
Prior to Sazerac, Ross was with Treasury Wine Estates responsible for the Publix and Total Wine businesses nationally. At MillerCoors, he developed a general-management skillset through frequent promotions across key commercial and operational functions.

Working his way up from Sales to his current role as VP of Mexcor California, Marcelo Martinez has been a driving force within MEXCOR for several years. Marcelo holds a double major in Economics and Finance from UIA (Universidad Iberoamericana) and a specialization in International Trade and Commerce from UCLA (University of California Los Angeles), and is a Certified Tequila and Mezcal Sommelier. His passion for Latin American heritage radiates in his desire to emphasize the culture’s vivaciousness, strength, and variation of its traditional spirits within the market. As one of Mexcor’s young leaders, Marcelo has been able to grow our business with fresh eyes and modern tastes, ushering in a new generation in the largest market in America.

Mr. Cooper began in the Wine and Spirits industry over 25 years ago as a warehouse worker and delivery driver. Over the years, he has learned, and eventually run, each division inside wholesale distribution.
In 2006, he helped create a wine and spirits distribution company from the ground up. Braxton understands this business is about relationships. He has a passion for building and growing the business and partnerships.
In 2015, Braxton joined the team that would one day become MPWS as Texas State Manager. He is currently the Texas State Sales Manager for the entire MPWS Division of Mexcor.

Rob has worked in the distribution industry for over 15 years as a manger working with multiple teams and facilities at companies such as Prestige Wine, Avante, Pioneer, and Favorite Brands. Also I’ve has experience in all warehousing equipment and multiple RAS and WMS systems including Softeon, AS 400 and Encompass. As well as Excel, Outlook and other Microsoft and iOS programs. I’m a good team builder and organizer, developing processes for working environments to make them more efficient and effective.


Wade Cooper

Wade began his career in the wine business in 1993 with Prestige Wine Cellars. Over the next 12 years he moved up the ranks of the company and increased his personal sales by 15% annually. In 2009, he moved to Avante Brands as the State Sales Manager where he continued to generate sales increases while hiring sales reps to work the market. He transitioned to Pioneer Wine Company in 2015 as the State Sales Manager and merged with Mexcor Fine wine in 2019. Wade’s strengths lie in his ability to create relationships with major retailors and sales reps. He proactively sources inventory to allow retail chains to have the best products for their customers.

Myers Gonzalez

Mr. Gonzalez started in the liquor industry 19 years ago as a private bartender and consultant. Over that time, he has worked his way through many avenues of the business from bar back, delivery driver, chain manager and sales executive. In 2010, he built his own consulting company helping liquor stores and bars rebuild their business models from the ground up. Myers has learned the business from the inside and knows how to partner with customers from the other side of the counter. In 2013, Myers joined Mexcor as the sales executive of South Texas. He is currently Key account manager for Twin Liquors, WB Liquor, and South Texas Regional Sales Manager.

Rebecca Morgan joined Mexcor in 2014. In her role as Omni Channel Marketing Manager she is involved with managing our brands and Marketing efforts, both On and Off Premise. She is highly involved with brand development, new product launches and supplier coordination.
Morgan received her Undergraduate BBA in Marketing from St. Mary’s University and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Prior to joining Mexcor she worked with two established Advertising Agencies in San Antonio and prior to that she was a part of the team that helped launch the San Antonio Scorpions FC, now SAFC.
Her industry knowledge and ability to understand consumers from her background have helped us to establish our Marketing efforts and develop plans for exponential growth in the future.

Mr. Howard’s career in the beverage industry started in 2005 while he was completing his marketing degree from the University of SC Aiken. His next 15 years were spent building one of the top retail chains in the South Carolina and Georgia market.
He has a passion for the industry and a deep understanding of the value of relationships. In 2020, he brought his industry experience to Mexcor in North Texas and has been implemental in helping train and coach the sales team.
Adam’s love for wine and spirits has taken him all across the globe. From start up whisky distilleries in Australia, local grappa producers in Croatia, to some of the best know distilleries in Scotland and the US. “Alcohol is a universal language. It may look or taste different depending on where its made or what its made from, but its always meant to bring pleasure to your life and bring people together. That’s why I love this industry”.

Ms. Lovejoy is a wine and spirit category expert with twenty-seven years in the industry. She joined Mexcor’s Fine Wine Division in 2019 as the Wine Portfolio Manager for Texas. Prior to joining Mexcor, Monica worked for Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits in various roles including; sales management (retail and on-premise channels), trade development/portfolio management, and leading enterprise/state training projects. She also rounded out her vertical knowledge and worked as a winery sales manager for the region. Currently, Monica's responsibilities at Mexcor include; developing and maintaining supplier relations, pricing and ‘route-to-market’ strategy, corporate and supplier margin performance, supply chain management, and counseling sales teams for increased volume opportunities and execution.

SpencerCrawford grew up in West Texas which is also where his career began in the beverage industry. He has managed beer, wine and spirits selling divisions. He’s championedstate level marketing, portfolio management and trade development roles. Most recently he managed multiple states and multiple wholesalers with C. Mondavi and Family Wines before joining the team at Mexcor International.
Spencer is at his best when he is tackling complex situations; he focuseson core fundamentals that include but are not limited to communication, building relationships, education, product knowledge, self-actualization, and process improvement. Tom joined Mexcor in 2002 when the company was still in its youth and has played an active role in forming it from the ground up. He spent the early part of that time handling warehouse picking, order entry, inventory control, accounts receivables, state compliance and purchasing. As the company grew and relocated, he shifted focus and went on to work as operations manager, purchasing manager and the newer role of maintaining Mexcor’s customs bonded warehouse for imported products. Since 2012 he has become fully dedicated to Mexcor’s purchasing, logistics and bonded warehouse as Director of Purchasing. He now continues to expand on 19 years’ experience in alcoholic beverage procurement and has endeavored to bring controls and structure throughout the buying and stocking process. Rebecca Morgan

Omni Channel Marketing Manager
Rebecca Morgan joined Mexcor in 2014. In her role as Omni Channel Marketing Manager she is involved with managing our brands and Marketing efforts, both On and Off Premise. She is highly involved with brand development, new product launches and supplier coordination.
Morgan received her Undergraduate BBA in Marketing from St. Mary’s University and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Prior to joining Mexcor she worked with two established Advertising Agencies in San Antonio and prior to that she was a part of the team that helped launch the San Antonio Scorpions FC, now SAFC.
Her industry knowledge and ability to understand consumers from her background have helped us to establish our Marketing efforts and develop plans for exponential growth in the future.

Monica Lovejoy

Senior Portfolio Manager
Ms. Lovejoy is a wine and spirit category expert with twenty-seven years in the industry. She joined Mexcor’s Fine Wine Division in 2019 as the Wine Portfolio Manager for Texas. Prior to joining Mexcor, Monica worked for Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits in various roles including; sales management (retail and on-premise channels), trade development/portfolio management, and leading enterprise/state training projects. She also rounded out her vertical knowledge and worked as a winery sales manager for the region. Currently, Monica's responsibilities at Mexcor include; developing and maintaining supplier relations, pricing and ‘route-to-market’ strategy, corporate and supplier margin performance, supply chain management, and counseling sales teams for increased volume opportunities and execution.

Tom joined Mexcor in 2002 when the company was still in its youth and has played an active role in forming it from the ground up. He spent the early part of that time handling warehouse picking, order entry, inventory control, accounts receivables, state compliance and purchasing. As the company grew and relocated, he shifted focus and went on to work as operations manager, purchasing manager and the newer role of maintaining Mexcor’s customs bonded warehouse for imported products. Since 2012 he has become fully dedicated to Mexcor’s purchasing, logistics and bonded warehouse as Director of Purchasing. He now continues to expand on 19 years’ experience in alcoholic beverage procurement and has endeavored to bring controls and structure throughout the buying and stocking process. His eye for detail drives his passion for success.

Adam Howard

Mr. Howard’s career in the beverage industry started in 2005 while he was completing his marketing degree from the University of SC Aiken. His next 15 years were spent building one of the top retail chains in the South Carolina and Georgia market.
He has a passion for the industry and a deep understanding of the value of relationships. In 2020, he brought his industry experience to Mexcor in North Texas and has been implemental in helping train and coach the sales team.
Adam’s love for wine and spirits has taken him all across the globe. From start up whisky distilleries in Australia, local grappa producers in Croatia, to some of the best know distilleries in Scotland and the US. “Alcohol is a universal language. It may look or taste different depending on where its made or what its made from, but its always meant to bring pleasure to your life and bring people together. That’s why I love this industry”.

Wade Cooper

Business Development - MEXCOR Fine Wine Division
Wade began his career in the wine business in 1993 with Prestige Wine Cellars. Over the next 12 years he moved up the ranks of the company and increased his personal sales by 15% annually. In 2009, he moved to Avante Brands as the State Sales Manager where he continued to generate sales increases while hiring sales reps to work the market. He transitioned to Pioneer Wine Company in 2015 as the State Sales Manager and merged with Mexcor Fine wine in 2019. Wade’s strengths lie in his ability to create relationships with major retailors and sales reps. He proactively sources inventory to allow retail chains to have the best products for their customers.

Spencer Crawford

Regional Sales Manager - Houston Area (Package Store Division)

SpencerCrawford grew up in West Texas which is also where his career began in the beverage industry. Early on he took a position as a merchandiserbut rose through the ranks rapidly.Spencer’s diverse experience includes both on and off premise account development. He has managed beer, wine and spirits selling divisions. He’s championedstate level marketing, portfolio management and trade development roles. Most recently he managed multiple states and multiple wholesalers with C. Mondavi and Family Wines before joining the team at Mexcor International.
Spencer is at his best when he is tackling complex situations; he focuseson core fundamentals that include but are not limited to communication, building relationships, education, product knowledge, self-actualization, and process improvement. Spencer’s philosophy is to pay it forward and always be passionate about building people and brandsfor the future.

For Mr. Alexander, business is about family, and family is about business. Mr. Alexander was mentored by an entrepreneurial father, John Alexander, who escaped Cuba and threw himself into building several Miami distribution businesses. In the process, John Alexander and his wife Ana Maria inspired a strong work ethic in Nicholas. That ethic drove many of Nicholas’ accomplishments, including a golf scholarship to Spring Hill College in Alabama. After two years, Miami and family drew him back to South Florida. He completed his business degree at FIU with cum laude honors and worked in an accounting firm while attending classes. A return to the family business followed. He then launched a Cigarette distribution company with his Father, and drove the business to upwards of 2 million in monthly revenue in the state of Florida. He later moved on to launch his family wine and spirits import and distribution company in Miami. Since February 2016 Mr. Alexander has been Director of Operations/Sales at Mexcor Distributors of Florida.

Working his way up from Sales to his current role as VP of Mexcor California, Marcelo Martinez has been a driving force within MEXCOR for several years. Marcelo holds a double major in Economics and Finance from UIA (Universidad Iberoamericana) and a specialization in International Trade and Commerce from UCLA (University of California Los Angeles), and is a Certified Tequila and Mezcal Sommelier. His passion for Latin American heritage radiates in his desire to emphasize the culture’s vivaciousness, strength, and variation of its traditional spirits within the market. As one of Mexcor’s young leaders, Marcelo has been able to grow our business with fresh eyes and modern tastes, ushering in a new generation in the largest market in America.

Director of Hispanic Portfolio
Selene was an integral part of the amazing trajectory of growth for Casa Armando Prieto and Zignum Mezcal one of the pioneers and trailblazers of the current mezcal boom in the United States. Ms. Estrada then went on to represent for the United States Botran Rums, arguably the highest rated rums in the world. Botran was previously represented by Shaw Ross until Mexcor became the National Importer in 2021 for the whole line including their Venado Rums & Aguardientes and Quezalteca. Selene is an expert in Latin American Brands as Mexcor is quickly becoming the largest Latin American brand importer in the United States.

David Wooley

Vice President Sales – Strategic Account
Mr Wooley brings extensive experience in National Account Sales in Supply Chain, ten years of Category Management at Anhouser-Busch InBev as Director of Category Leadership as well as National Accounts and E-Commerce at Sazerac reporting to the VP of Sales. At Sazerac, David was the controlling point of contact for Total Wine, BevMo!, Liquor Barn, GoPuff and Amazon. He was responsible for creating omni-channel strategy for in0store and online sales. We believe that as the industry and world as a whole, moves more and more into online and E-Commerce, in order to hold true to our values of Future-Thinking, we need to expand and become leaders in this new area outside of traditional retail sales. The future of the industry and brand building is undoubtedly in E-Commerce.

Rey Barriero

Director of Chains – Mexcor Florida

Rey Barreiro started his career with Premier Beverage in 1997 as a Sales Rep in the Grocery Division. In 1998, Rey was quickly promoted to the position of Field Sales Manager responsible for the south side of Dade County. After 5 years of hard work, Rey was again promoted, this time to the Chain team as the Costco Chain Account Manager. It was in this role that he became a huge part of Premier Beverage’s growth. In 2013 Rey was once again promoted to Director of State Chains overseeing BJ’s Costco, Sams, and Total Wine for the state of Florida. Rey attended Miami Dade community college and Florida International University. Rey is fluent in English and Spanish due to his Cuban background. Currently Rey is the Director of State Chains for Mexcor Florida where he is responsible for overseeing all the chains and wholesale clubs along with his team of manager’s and sales reps who make the weekly calls at the store level.

Mark Schuetz

Director of Operations
Mark has over 35 years in the wine and spirits industry. He has directed both sales and operations at two of the largest distributors in the country. Mark served as Vice President of Operations for RNDC in Florida and served as the VP, Managing Director and also VP, Operations and Process Improvement at Breakthru Beverage of Florida. Mark has led major projects including new construction and expansion, SAP WMS launch, voice picking integration and multiple logistics projects to offer superior customer service and a competitive advantage for sales teams. Mark left distributor life and began his own consulting company designed to lend his years of operations experience to smaller distributors which led to his relationship with Mexcor. He brings years of expertise in systems, process management and organizational development. Mark is a great resource and through his experience will help Mexcor develop a plan to take it to the next level when it comes to customer service and a sustainable infrastructure for years to come.

Wendy Bogarin

General Sales Manager - Mexcor California
Focused on building business opportunities for Mexican companies in US, Ms. Bogarin worked for over 14 years in the Government sector in LA for the Consulate General of Mexico and the Trade and Investment Commission of Mexico (ProMexico), overseeing the Food and Beverage Industry in where she had the opportunity to help foreign business to incursion in the CA market. Her experience includes the creation of sales strategies oriented to results, through business analysis of capabilities, products, and target markets. Current responsibilities at Mexcor CA comprehend institutional relations, sales strategy for the Latin American Wine & Spirits portfolio, management of the sales force, relationship and strategy for retail chains and On-premise accounts.”

Mia Stanford

General Sales Manager - LMDC
Ms. Stanford started with Mexcor in November, 2021 as Louisiana’s General Sales Manager. A native to Southern Louisiana, she has 15 years’ experience throughout the adult beverage industry. Mia started with Foxwood’s Resort & Casino and worked her way throughout the distributor and supplier channels with Southern Glazer’s, Favorite Brands and Samson and Surrey Surrey which included a portfolio of Widow Jane, Bluecoat Gin, Mezcal Vago and Tequila Ocho. Mia specializes in building emerging brands, with an emphasis on brown spirits and agave. Ms. Stanford believes that consumer engagement builds lifelong brand advocates, and she prides herself on using her platforms for education and brand awareness.

Melanie Lewis

Portfolio Manager - Mexcor Fine Wine Division
Melanie has a long background in the industry across multiple states. Melanie has sold wine for distributors in New York, Illinois, and finally Texas. Melanie was one of our top Houston Sales Reps, applied for the portfolio management position, and was promoted to become a Wine Portfolio Manager. With her great attitude and her sales knowledge and vendor relationships, Melanie has already started contributing to our growth and improving our vendor relationships. She also manages one of our largest pre-sell programs with thousands of SKUs from the Michael Skurnik portfolio. Melanie is a great asset and will continue to grow within Mexcor for many years.

Thomas Lane

Thomas began in the industry 7 years ago after deciding to follow a passion for wine. Starting at Total Wine he was able to perform multiple roles while learning the business. That lead to becoming a sales representative for over 4 years with Pioneer and MPWS. Calling on a range of accounts from retail to on-premise has helped in his development along the way. Now in the Chain Account Manager position for HEB Central Market, Thomas looks to continue to grow the partnership between the two companies.

Charlie Riggs

Key Account Manager – San Antonio

Charlie Riggs started his career in the liquor industry almost 30 years ago where he worked as a Merchandiser and Display Team Lead for his first three years. He moved up to a sales position for the same company and drove a bay truck selling beer and wine. In 1998, he accepted a position in sales with another distributor and worked his way up to the West Texas Regional Beer Division Manager.
A little more than halfway through his career, he took a break from distribution and worked for a liquor and wine broker for three years. In 2013, he accepted a position with Mexcor in sales and is currently a Chain Manager for Total Wine.
Charlie has a keen eye for detail and puts his carpentry skills in motion constructing displays for his accounts statewide. He has earned recognition from multiple wine companies and sales awards throughout the years including Salesperson of the Year Award South Texas in 2014.

Ed started in Retail Wine Sales in 2001 with Republic Beverage Company. Since then he has served in all market sectors of the industry and from outside sales to Management. The majority of his 20 years in the industry has been spent working in the in Package Industry side of the trade.
Over this period of time he’s always achieved consistently high sales results and won numerous awards.

Rebecca Brotherton

Key Account Manager - Dallas

Rebecca Brotherton’s career in the beverage industry started in 2017 as a merchandiser for a liquor distribution company. She was promoted to a Sales Representative in Amarillo, Texas and quickly began to grow her professional network. She was inspired by the people she met from Mexcor and liked the idea of being passionate about your job and your company. Rebecca pursued an opportunity with Mexcor at the end of 2019 to be the Sales Executive in the Wichita Falls area. In her new position, she quickly went to work and almost doubled her territory sales in less than two years. Her hard work and hustle did not go unnoticed. Brotherton was promoted to a Key Account Manager position in Dallas in 2021. Month after month she continues to cultivate relationships, grow her market, and become a stronger leader. She’s excited to continue her career at Mexcor with her tenacious spirit and eagerness to learn.

Alexandra Shmieg

Alex Shmieg began working in the industry throughout college and post grad at the store level. She fell in love with the industry and decided to keep pursuing and venture to the distribution side. She started as a merchandiser with a competing company but always admired those who worked for Mexcor and how much they loved their jobs. After making the transition to Mexcor, Alex was hired as a merchandiser, and was promoted to Sales only 6 months later after showing drive and passion to learn more about the industry. With consistent success and the relationships built within her territory, Alex was able to then move to Key Account Manager for Total Wines and Beverage Depot in the Dallas area. Customer service is her background and that’s what she most admires about Mexcor and how they go the extra mile for their customers, or partners.

Jamie Perkins

Senior Purchasing Analyst

Jamie joined Mexcor in February of 2017. He began his career in retail as a Senior Merchandising Manager with JC Penney where he spent 10 years honing his skills as a buyer and department manager. He built and developed the first JC Penney Simply for Sports department where, at that time, was one of the few places one could find Pro-Line clothing which included on-the field caps, polos and jackets. It was one the first places one could find authentic jerseys. For his efforts, the NFL Licensing branch of the National Football League awarded him best licensed sports shop in America and included his department in their annual NFL licensing magazine. After JC Penney, Jamie then joined Stage Stores in the Corporate office where he planned and bought for areas that included Men’s & Women’s Fragrances/Treatments, Young Men’s clothing, Men’s outerwear and Men’s Accessories. After 12 years at Stage Stores, Jamie joined Academy Sports and Outdoors at their headquarters in Houston where he planned and bought, again, athletic apparel and shoes. His new home at Mexcor has offered him new insights into the world of wine and spirits and the ever challenging world of logistics and is now the Logistics Coordinator along with being the buyer for several of Mexcor key brands.

Rebecca Brotherton’s career in the beverage industry started in 2017 as a merchandiser for a liquor distribution company. She was promoted to a Sales Representative in Amarillo, Texas and quickly began to grow her professional network. She was inspired by the people she met from Mexcor and liked the idea of being passionate about your job and your company. Rebecca pursued an opportunity with Mexcor at the end of 2019 to be the Sales Executive in the Wichita Falls area. In her new position, she quickly went to work and almost doubled her territory sales in less than two years. Her hard work and hustle did not go unnoticed. Brotherton was promoted to a Key Account Manager position in Dallas in 2021. Month after month she continues to cultivate relationships, grow her market, and become a stronger leader. She’s excited to continue her career at Mexcor with her tenacious spirit and eagerness to learn.

Alexandra Shmieg

Key Account Manager - Dallas

Alex Shmieg began working in the industry throughout college and post grad at the store level. She fell in love with the industry and decided to keep pursuing and venture to the distribution side. She started as a merchandiser with a competing company but always admired those who worked for Mexcor and how much they loved their jobs. After making the transition to Mexcor, Alex was hired as a merchandiser, and was promoted to Sales only 6 months later after showing drive and passion to learn more about the industry. With consistent success and the relationships built within her territory, Alex was able to then move to Key Account Manager for Total Wines and Beverage Depot in the Dallas area. Customer service is her background and that’s what she most admires about Mexcor and how they go the extra mile for their customers, or partners.

Jamie Perkins

Senior Purchasing Analyst
“If you think can or you can’t, you’re right”.
Jamie joined Mexcor in February of 2017. He began his career in retail as a Senior Merchandising Manager with JC Penney where he spent 10 years honing his skills as a buyer and department manager. He built and developed the first JC Penney Simply for Sports department where, at that time, was one of the few places one could find Pro-Line clothing which included on-the field caps, polos and jackets. It was one the first places one could find authentic jerseys. For his efforts, the NFL Licensing branch of the National Football League awarded him best licensed sports shop in America and included his department in their annual NFL licensing magazine. After JC Penney, Jamie then joined Stage Stores in the Corporate office where he planned and bought for areas that included Men’s & Women’s Fragrances/Treatments, Young Men’s clothing, Men’s outerwear and Men’s Accessories. After 12 years at Stage Stores, Jamie joined Academy Sports and Outdoors at their headquarters in Houston where he planned and bought, again, athletic apparel and shoes. His new home at Mexcor has offered him new insights into the world of wine and spirits and the ever challenging world of logistics and is now the Logistics Coordinator along with being the buyer for several of Mexcor key brands.

Ken Knight

Corporate Controller - CPA
Ken joined Mexcor in 2019 as Corporate Controller and is responsible for the planning, directing and coordinating of all accounting and financial functions for Mexcor and its affiliate companies. Over the last two decades, Mr. Knight built a successful career in publicly and privately owned companies in the manufacturing, distribution, and retail industries. Mr. Knight was given the opportunity to lead accounting and ERP systems training and development in China, Vietnam, and Mexico which allowed him to cultivate a diverse perspective of different cultures and customs. Ken is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from Sam Houston State University.
